We arrived at Jeju Airport around 1 pm, I choose to stay in Jeju City ( which is very close to the Airport – less than ten mins by cab )
In short, there are three places you could consider to stay in Jeju :
Jeju City is very similar to any other city on the Korean mainland in terms of style. There are not many things to see or do in the city itself.
Seogwipo City has a unique and more significant holiday feeling ( South Island )
Jungmun is a tourist resort which will feel familiar to other tourist resorts in other countries.
You could take another limousine bus from Airport to Seowiqpo, but if you stay in Jungmun or Jeju City hail the cab, it won’t cost that much.
After check-in in our hotel at Jeju City our first stop is :
Black Port Street
The restaurant name is
HWARO HYANG: 27, Gwandeok-ro 15-gil, Jeju-si, Jeju-do
The location is next to another famous restaurant called Dombedon, which has a lot of awards. But it seems to me from the review many local people choose to go to Hwaro Hyang than Dombedon, so I decided to dine in here. It is perfect, for 50,000 won you get varieties of pork, abalone and they even give you steam egg as a bonus and soya bean soup. Pair it with Mak geoli so good!!!😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

they grilled kimchi and bean sprout together 🙌🏻amazing !!

Beef + Pork+ Abalone all for 50,000 won

Side dishes
After having our heavy lunch, we walk around the area and found so-called the seaside there is nothing much really, during that day the weather is quite warm.
Not so long after we are on our way to go to Jeju University Street to catch all the cherry blossom. However, if you’d like, you could walk further and go to Yongduam Rock, and it will take you at least around 30 minutes ( do use Kakao Map for walking directions, google map can’t give you any guidance in Korea )
Jeju University Street
Beautiful Place to catch cherry blossoms during the golden hours, we arrived perfectly in time to catch Cherry Blossom season in Jeju. When the cherry blossom petals are blown around by the wind, it looks like it’s snowing, truly magical.

Cherry Blossoms at Jeju University Street
When the weather is cooling is the perfect time to go Jiljimbang/ onsen !!
we went to Hamian(해미안) : 7353 Iljuseo-ro, Cheju, Jeju-do, South Korea. It has a little outside Onsen right in front of the beach. Strongly recommend, however, it opens only till 9pm. http://www.haimian.co.kr/
some other places that I found online and 24 hours :
- Burimland(부림랜드) http://www.burimland.co.kr/ well known for tourists in Jeju
- http://www.jejuzzim.com/ 탑동해수사우나
- http://www.jejusauna.co.kr/ 해수랜드
We walk around the city after our sauna and decided to stop at
Moyise ( Haejangguk) : 61, Wollang-ro,Jeju-si, Jeju-do (⭐️⭐️⭐️)
It’s open 24 hours, and after you finish Jiljimbang, I guess any soup can do the job.
called it a day after the dinner and back to our hotel.
xx
